Verification of contact Handle Number

As from 28th August 2026, owners of existing contact Handles will be required to verify their contact number.

Upon logging into the NIC(Malta) website for the first time using their contact Handle, Handle owners will be prompted to enter their contact number. They must then confirm the contact number by entering a verification code received via either a phone call or SMS.

For new contact Handles, that have been applied for on 28th August 2026 and onwards, the prospective Handle owners must verify their contact number before the Handle is activated.
